Questions
Can my child buy things?
No. Nothing purchasable ever appears in kid mode โ no store, no prompts, no "ask a grown-up" buttons. Extras live on the billing page, behind the grown-up PIN.
What happens to our stuff if we stop paying?
Nothing is deleted, ever. Stories, word lists, streaks and badges stay exactly where they are. Extra islands become places to visit rather than build, and anything you bought outright โ a wardrobe pack, an island slot โ is still yours.
Do the free stories run out for good?
No. Three come back on the 1st of every month. The old plan gave five and then stopped forever, which punished the family that came back in March.
What about Star Shards?
Earned, never sold. They come from spelling words correctly, and that is the only way they will ever come.
Why is anything paid at all?
Every story is written by an AI model, and every island keeps a little server awake. Those cost real money per use, so those are the two things we meter โ and only those. Quizzes, games, printing, streaks and badges are free for everyone.
How does the Classroom plan work?
It is $6 a month or $49 a year per class, and your first class is free for 60 days. A teacher running three classes pays for three, and can end one at the end of term without touching the others. It is separate from a family plan: paying for a class does not change what your own children get at home, and vice versa.
What happens to a class when its plan ends?
Nothing is deleted and nothing leaves a child's screen. The students keep their lists, their words and everything they have practised, and the teacher keeps the dashboard. What stops is adding new lists and new students, until the plan starts again.
Can two grown-ups share one plan?
Yes. One subscription covers the whole household, and co-parents can do everything except change the billing.
The subscription covers the AI storytelling costs โ thanks for keeping the whirl spinning! ๐
